A lady contacted me for a commission of an older Jack Russell dog that she loved dearly and wanted a painting of. He was descended from an original strain of Jack Russell's and was such a great character who had a lovely temperament, so my client told me that she wanted something really special. I took some photos of him and also of the delightful little pup that the lady had recently bought.
The painting was really well received, which made me so pleased. I then decided to paint the young puppy, as she too was such a sweet little thing, and kept the work in my collection. Since then many people have admired and commented on the painting.
Painted in Gouache on Coloured Ingres paper.
