'AW MUM' - NOT AGAIN!
Like many children, this youngster looks as though he doesn't want his face washing.
I loved painting this work, as it reminded me of my grandmother who, when I had a dirty face as a small child, would spit on her handkerchief and clean my face with it, when we were out together and no water available.
This was in the 1950's and brought back a lovely memory of her.
